This is a 4-part workshop for board members and new nonprofit leaders, led by the Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda's Executive Director and Certified BoardSource Board Consultant Dr Nicola Paugh. PART 1: The Role of the Nonprofit Board focuses on Good Governance, the primary roles and responsibilities of the Nonprofit Board, Governance Models, and key Board best practices.

Part 2: Nonprofit Board Member Responsibilities covers Board Member roles and responsibilities, legal obligations, and building a constructive partnership with the Executive Director.

PART 3: Board’s Role in Fundraising addresses the Board’s fundraising roles and responsibilities, global and local fundraising trends, and the fund development process.

PART 4: Board Engagement, Recruitment and Succession Planning explores the Board engagement, signs and symptoms of disengagement, as well as strategies for effective engagement, recruitment and succession planning.
